Care & Nutrition
Young chicks require:
Professionally prepared hand-feeding formula
Scheduled feedings throughout the day
A warm, hygienic brooder with carefully controlled temperature and humidity
Daily weight monitoring to ensure healthy development
Veterinary supervision whenever necessary
Once fully weaned, they should transition to:
High-quality parrot pellets
Fresh fruits and vegetables
Healthy nuts and seeds in moderation
Fresh drinking water available at all times
Training After Weaning
Training should begin after the chick is fully weaned and comfortable in its new environment.
For the best results:
Build trust through gentle daily interaction.
Use positive reinforcement by rewarding desired behaviors with praise or healthy treats.
Start with basic commands such as “Step Up” and “Step Down.”
Keep training sessions short (10–15 minutes) and enjoyable.
Speak clearly and repeat words consistently to encourage speech development.
Provide toys, foraging activities, and regular out-of-cage time after the bird is old enough.
Be patient and consistent, allowing your parrot to learn at its own pace.
